Hi, I am Alisha (Bennett) Todd.

I have always loved photography, and from about the age of 8, I would sneak my parent’s camera and shoot photos of my cat Muffyn.  My mom used to get the film processed and I would get “talked to” because the photos were mostly of my cat and not Christmas and birthdays as she had thought. 

When I don’t have my camera in my hand, I am a medical assistant with Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  I have been in healthcare for almost 25 years.  I am a lifelong student and continue to advance my education in the medical and photography fields.   I have been married to my husband, Mark, for almost 12 years and we are currently the proud parents of 2 dogs and 3 cats. 

I am a recent graduate of Nashville State Community College with an A.A.S in Visual Communication with a concentration in Photography.  Even though I am a recent graduate, I have been religiously shooting since I got my first digital camera in May 2000.

When we moved to Nashville from Michigan, I started out just taking a class or two after work just because I love photography. I did not have plans to get a technical certificate or degree in the program. However, I enjoyed the classes so much, and ended up taking so many, that I easily achieved the technical certificate and now the A.A.S. I am planning to start working on my nursing degree next spring after a short break and hopefully a vacation.
